1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and [LEGAL_NAME] ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of The 99 Names of Allah mobile and tablet application and its associated website (together, "the App").
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Who may use the App
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16, where your local law requires it) to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
By using the App you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
3. What the App is
The App is an educational and devotional tool for learning about, reflecting upon, and internalising the Divine Names of Allah. It provides explanations of each Name, audio pronunciation, thematic categories, a personal progress tracker, a private journal for reflections, and supporting audio content.
4. Licence
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: copy, modify, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the App; redistribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the App or its content; extract or scrape the content in bulk; remove or obscure any copyright or attribution notice; use automated means to access the App; or use the App in any way that interferes with its operation or with other users.
5. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at contact@themathemysticsarchive.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must give accurate registration information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used in breach of these Terms.
You can delete your account, and all data associated with it, at any time from the Profile screen inside the App. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
6. Religious and educational content — please read this carefully
The App presents explanations, interpretations and practical reflections on the Divine Names for the purpose of study and personal spiritual development.
This content is offered in good faith and with reverence, but it is interpretive. It is not a fatwa, a religious ruling, or a substitute for study with a qualified scholar. Islamic scholarship contains a range of views on the enumeration, meaning and application of the Divine Names. Where our explanations reflect a particular understanding, that is a choice of presentation and not a claim of exclusive correctness.
We encourage you to verify what you read against primary sources and the guidance of qualified scholars in your own tradition.
Where translations of Arabic terms are provided, they are approximations. No translation carries the meaning of the Arabic original in full.
We have made reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy and to present all material respectfully, but we do not warrant that every explanation, translation or transliteration is free from error. If you find an error, please contact us and we will review it.
The App is intended for personal reflection and learning. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological, financial or legal advice, and nothing in it should be relied upon as such.
7. Your reflections and content
You retain full ownership of everything you write in your journal.
You grant us only the narrowest licence necessary to operate the App: the right to store, display back to you, and delete your reflections in order to provide the service. That's it.
We will not publish your reflections, share them with other users, use them for marketing, sell them, or use them to train artificial intelligence models. Your reflections are technically restricted so that only your own account can access them.
You are responsible for what you write. Do not use the journal to store information you are not permitted to hold, or content that is unlawful.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to: break any law; infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy; attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' accounts, or any data that is not yours; probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems; transmit malware; place unreasonable load on our infrastructure; or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its design, code, structure, written explanations, categorisations, curated audio and visual assets are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except for the licence in Section 4, no rights are transferred to you.
Quranic text and Prophetic traditions referenced within the App are, of course, not owned by anyone; our particular selection, arrangement, translation, commentary and presentation of them is.
Audio recitations of the Divine Names are provided for personal learning within the App and may not be extracted, redistributed or reused elsewhere.
10. Third-party links and materials
The App links to third-party sites, including an online bookseller where a companion book on the Divine Names may be obtained, and social media platforms used for sharing.
We do not control these sites, do not endorse their content, and are not responsible for them. Any transaction you enter into with a third party is solely between you and that third party. Referencing the work of any author or publisher does not imply their endorsement of, or affiliation with, the App.
11. Availability and changes
The App is provided free of charge. It contains no purchases and no subscriptions.
We may add, change, suspend or withdraw features at any time, and may suspend the service for maintenance. We do not guarantee that the App will be available uninterrupted or error-free.
We may discontinue the App entirely. If we do, we will give reasonable notice where practicable so you can retrieve your reflections.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the App will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App, however caused and on any theory of liability.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account from the Profile screen.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App. Sections 7, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17 survive termination.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING_LAW], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of [GOVERNING_LAW] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in another country, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection rules and the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
17. Apple-specific terms
This section applies to the version of the App you obtained from the Apple App Store, and it prevails over anything inconsistent elsewhere in these Terms.
- These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple. Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Apple") are not a party to these Terms and are not responsible for the App or its content.
- Scope of licence. Your licence to use the App is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the App may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support. We are solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for the App. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty. We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be our sole responsibility.
- Product claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation, including in connection with the App's use of any framework for processing health-related data (which this App does not use).
- Intellectual property claims. In the event of any third-party claim that the App or your possession and use of the App infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, will be solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any such claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. You acknowledge and agree that Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

18. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email, and the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.
